Michael S. Krzyzak, O.D.

Dr. Michael Krzyzak received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Arizona and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (2007). He has been in practice at Krzyzak Eyecare with his father, Dr. Richard Krzyzak, for 16 years. Dr. Michael admires his father both personally and professionally, striving to be like him daily. Although Dr. Michael despises the cold weather, his family is what brought him home to Syracuse.

Dr. Michael is passionate about treating dry eye disease and glaucoma, using the latest in technology to assist in both diagnosis and treatment. As a sufferer from dry eye disease at a young age, he understands the impacts this disease can have on patients’ quality of life. With the excessive usage of electronic devices, the prevalence of ocular surface disease is increasing exponentially. This drives Dr. Michael to have the best available treatment options for his patient’s health and well-being.

Dr. Michael is a member of the National Glaucoma Society, Central New York Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Michael resides in Clay, New York, with his wife, two boys, and English retriever. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He “tries” to play golf and enjoys baseball and basketball with his boys. He also enjoys traveling with his family, especially somewhere warm in the winter!
